I figured I’d make an FAQ since a lot of people ask me the same questions over and over. I totally don’t mind answering them of course, I love to, but I figured this would make it a little bit easier to check before asking something. Basically, if you can’t find it here or find it in the drop box of tracked tags, you can always hit up the ask box. Enjoy guys!

What does D.R.U.G.S. stand for? 

D.R.U.G.S. is an acronym for Destroy Rebuild Until God Shows 

 When is D.R.U.G.S. coming to my town? 

You can find a full list of tour dates here. Sometimes, they don’t update it too well so your best bet is to keep checking on here for updates from me. To find out when Craig Owens is playing a solo show near you, I’ve compiled a tour date list here.

Has DRUGS announced what they’re doing to make up for the dates they missed on Warped Tour due to Craig shooting his movie like they promised?

Not yet. I get this question a lot, and I understand since it’s a big deal to a lot of you. Basically, just keep holding on to your ticket stubs and when it’s announced, you’ll hear it from me and I’ll post it multiple times so no one misses it.

 How can I meet D.R.U.G.S.?

Basically, hang around after shows a lot and go to meet and greets. It’s the best way to meet the dudes. Meet and Greets are good because you’re guaranteed to meet them all, but waiting after shows works well too because it’s easier to have a full conversation and take pictures with who you see. Usually, it’ll be posted on Twitter when a M&G is happening, or a band member will say they’re hanging out at a merch tent and to come hang out, so make sure you follow the band and members on Twitter!

What was the set list like on this current tour?

Check this link for the latest what’s being played on the tour: there’s almost always some kind of list in there that’ll give you a good idea.

Can I submit to the site? What are the guidelines to submitting?

YES. Seriously, I want every and any submission you have. Even if it’s just bullshit about liking fruit and horses, I don’t care. Submit that shit. All I ask is that you put your credit at the end, meaning your name or tumblr URL. Also, it really helps if when you include photos in a text post, you use the UPLOAD PHOTO button instead of the Insert/Edit Image button, because then it shows up nicer looking and not just that little Polaroid icon.  Submit HERE!

Who is reciting the voicemails to Craig at the end of My Swagger Has A First Name?

That would be Joe Manganiello, he plays a werewolf named Alcide Herveaux on True Blood.

Yeah, not answering that shit. If it has to do with girlfriends, drug use or lack thereof, anything about their personalities or fan interaction or any kind of inane rumours, I’m not answering it or posting it to the page. First of all, I probably know as much as you do, because I focus on the music and not the lives of the band members. Plus, I don’t wanna spread anything around that doesn’t need to be spread. The guys follow/look at my blog, and I have the utmost respect for them and won’t stand for stupid shit.

What’s the deal with The Only Thing You Talk About? Why is it the same as Thermacare?

This is a big one, asked MANY MANY times. When Chiodos and Craig went their separate ways, the demo of Thermacare was posted on the internet by Chiodos without Craig’s consent. Craig was upset because he planned on using those lyrics and that melody for his new band, that we now know is D.R.U.G.S.. Long story short, Craig got the rights to his words and his melody, which he wrote, and Chiodos used the music they wrote for it on Illuminato, on the song Stratovolcano Mouth. The lyrics and melody to Thermacare are indeed what is used in The Only Thing You Talk About, however the music was written by D.R.U.G.S. and by listening, you can see the parts of Thermacare in each of them.

 Matt has said that this is a full time project, what about From First To Last?   

From First To Last is on an indefinite hiatus, and Matt is devoting his time to D.R.U.G.S. full time.

What happened with Adam? Why isn’t he in the band anymore?

  “Oh my god you’re like, bff with D.R.U.G.S. you should tell them _______ for me!” 

I, Cheska, am not bffs with them at all and probably can’t tell them anything for you. I’ve talked to all of them in some way at some point or another, but I wouldn’t say we’re bffs and that is a common misconception here at drugsfans. Hit them up on Facebook or Twitter if you have something to tell them that’s really important. :) 

How do I sign up for the D.R.U.G.S. Cartel?  Why aren’t they emailing me back? 

Send over an email to streetteams@decaydance.com   with your name, contact info, and what area you will be representing. Also now that all DecayDance street teams are combined on one email, specify in the subject that you’re emailing about the D.R.U.G.S. Cartel to avoid confusion. Depending on the traffic of the email, they may email you back and tell you thanks for joining, or they may not. I don’t know how it works at all so my best advice is if you don’t get a response, email again in 3 weeks. The current street team leader hasn’t returned or sent out many emails lately at ALL, so I’m hoping soon that gets fixed. 

Since DRUGS is no longer signed to DecayDance, I’m pretty sure this won’t be making a comeback. Sorry!

Who runs this site? Can we be best friends in the world? 

I’m Cheska (lochnesscheska.tumblr.com) and yes we most certainly can! I am the creator and make about 99% of the posts on DRUGSFANS. The site is also updated by my bro Ian (opheliacantswim.tumblr.com) from Canada. From time to time, my girl Gabby (gabbymeowflute.tumblr.com) reblogs or posts a thing or two, as well as my girl Alex (radioact)

Can you send me a download link to the album or (insert song name here)? 

No I can not, and will not. On this site there will be no promotion of illegal downloads of this album on my page. I am not saying not to do it and that I haven’t downloaded the songs early myself, but I purchased my album TWICE so it evens out. If you’re downloading illegally, make it simply a sample and be sure to purchase the album and support the band. Remember, the more they sell and the more success they make, the more possible it is to supply you with tour dates, merch, and new music. If it’s a song like The Holly Situation or Rehab in Rifle Rounds that were stated to be B-Sides and are likely not going to be sold, I will supply the links and do earlier in my FAQ, but if the band can be making money off of it or it’s undetermined what will be the use of the song, I won’t.

Have you met any of the members? Are they really nice guys?

Yesyesyes, I’ve met them all and they’re great dudes. They care about their fans so much and are always willing to have a conversation.

Do any of the band members have their own Tumblr pages?

Yes. Craig, Nick, and Aaron all have Tumblr pages.

Do you post everything that’s submitted? 

The only times I don’t are when the post you sent me has a picture that doesn’t show up, or when I’ve recently posted the same thing earlier. So YES, I post nearly every single submission.

Is your blog 100% accurate? 

Of course not. Nothing is always totally accurate. But neither is the news! This being a news blog, I simply say things as I see them be said, and let you guys tell me what’s a rumor and what is confirmed. I tend to learn a lot that way. This is why I usually have a disclaimer that nothing is official until the band says it themselves. 

Do you run the @drugsfans twitter?

No I do not. I don’t know who runs it, but it came many many months after my tumblr was made and I have no relation to it.

Can you promote my site?

Just leave something in my ask box saying what you want the promotion to say, and if it’s related to the band or a member of the band, of course! Be sure to promote me back however :)
